For
your entertainment.....
Hi, everyone, welcome to my 3rd weekly issue of First things first, who won the Oscars??? Oh, that's right, I don't really care....but what were they wearing??? Best dressed must go to Reese Witherspoon, how adorable was she? Not to mention her hot hubbie who made a lovely accessory to her black vintage dress. J.Lo is so beautiful, and usually her fashion style is off the charts and one of a kind! However, her poofy hair and light pink dress just didn't do it for me, especially when comparing it to her awesome ensemble she wore last year. Julia was another 5 on my 1 to 10 scale. Classy look, but not Oscar material in her slim-fitting black dress with long sleeves. As for worst dressed, poor Gwenyth. Did she like forget to wear a bra, or is the sagging A-cup look in now? Of course her hair and makeup are so naturally beautiful always, but I don't think anyone was focusing on either of those aspects... Next up, let's talk movies. As for what's out in theaters now, I personally wouldn't know, but I have seen quite a few rentals in the meantime and have been disappointed with almost all of them! Movies not to rent: "Hearts in Atlantis" starring Anthony Hopkins (confusing story that went nowhere!), "Training Day" starring Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke (awesome acting, but terrible script and scenes made it totally unbelievable), "Don't Say a Word" (stupid acting, stupid storyline). Movies you should rent: "KPax" starring Kevin Spacey and "Life as a House" starring Kevin Klein. "KPax" was lightly humorous and a cool story to follow. The characters were likeable and I think most people could easily relate to them at some point. The end left you guessing, but also with an uplifting feeling. "Life..." was ALMOST "American Beauty, part 2" but thankfully turned into a movie of its own with a great story and characters that really showed through as wonderful people by the end. I plan on seeing and reviewing "Panic Room" starring Jodie Foster soon. Critics are raving that it is a wonderful flick. Although nothing will beat "Gladiator" or "Moulin Rouge" in my mind! Now, lastly for a random fact.... Jennifer Aniston was the highest profit-maker
for magazines by having her face on covers (some of which included Rolling
Stone and Cosmo) in the year 2001. And sadly for the least profitable...my
nutcase Mariah, who appeared on the cover of architectural weekly. Have a great week and always remember to ask me questions to start my
advice column. Love ya for reading! |
